Grisaille is a gentle creature who is happy to do as her rider asks and doesn't stir up much trouble at the yard. She usually flies under the radar of the more aggressive horses at Xenon Racing, and even some of the riders consider her to be a bit of a bore to ride. Unsurprisingly, her nickname, Grizzly, is a bit of a joke, although it describes her greying coat well enough. Despite her submissive nature, some believe that Grizzly could make an impact on the racecourse. Her willingness and natural stamina mean that her preferred tactic of making a dash for the front late in the race could potentially pay off.
Although she is by no means aggressive, Grisaille quite likes racing. She finds the running is enjoyable, and can tolerate the gates well enough. On race days, some noises and sights can spook Grizzly quite easily and, at the start of the race, more aggressive horses can rattle her. However, she loves to please her rider and, although she's far from the most talented or well-bred horse out there, she is more than willing to try her best on the track.
